My last show until the fall is upon us! It’s the Olympia Comics Festival, this Saturday (June 4th), in Olympia, Washington!
This is a very cool, smallish show that is put on by Danger Room Comics in Olympia, they’ve been putting them on since 2001. It’s a lot like the early Stumptown shows in Portland – only cartoonists, almost entirely self-published stuff (Evergreen State College is nearby, btw), no big-con walls of prints/fan art, likely not much in the way of superheroes, no dealers whatsoever. There’s around 50 tables of cartoonists! Come find your new favorite comic book, and do it before everyone else gets hip to it!
I’ll be at table #32, and while I’m not sure what that means, as usual I’ll be the big, tall red-head with a giant goatee nursing a cup of pink coffee.
And I’d be remiss (as a cartoonist doing a food book) if I didn’t point out that there’s also an awesome farmer’s market in Olympia that will be open, and is only a few blocks away. It’s totally worth dropping in on. Make a day of it!!!
